Why 31 chapters is the point
Proverbs has thirty-one chapters, and most months have thirty-one days. That coincidence is the oldest reading plan there is: one chapter a day, a full pass every month, twelve passes a year. It works because Proverbs is not a narrative — you lose nothing by starting in the middle, and re-reading is the intended mode rather than a failure to progress.
The difficulty with that plan is volume. A chapter is twenty to thirty-five separate sayings, and reading thirty of them in one sitting means carrying none of them. Proverbs Daily takes the opposite bet: one verse, one question, one day.
