Who it is for

Most snowboarding games on a phone are an endless runner on a fake slope: one lane, three tricks, a paywall. Snowboard Sessions is for people who grew up on the console snowboarding games and want the mountain back — real ridges and bowls where they really are, a trick system with depth, and runs that are yours to pick.

What it does

• Four real mountains. Verbier and the Saas-Fee glacier in the Swiss Alps, the Chugach in Alaska and Mount Yotei in Hokkaido, built from Copernicus satellite elevation data.
• 62 tricks. Spins to 1440, flips, corks and rodeos, ten grabs, rails, presses and butters — plus signature tricks like the Helicopter, the Layout and the Triple Cork, fired from a full style meter.
• Something new every day. Three daily missions, a daily gift that grows with your streak and a fresh Daily Mountain generated each day.
• The Weekly Showdown. One drop a week, open to every rider, on a single global Game Center leaderboard that resets each Monday.
• 27 drops and 108 stars. Every drop has goals, a timed gate session with bronze, silver and gold, and a ghost of your best run to race.
• Gear that changes how you ride. 25 boards with their own speed, pop, spin and grip, plus jackets, pants, helmets and lenses you can try on before spending a credit.

Common questions

Is Snowboard Sessions free?

Yes. The First Descent, the Daily Mountain and three Verbier drops are free forever. The Full Mountain Pass is a one-time purchase that unlocks every mountain and removes ads; Sessions Pro is an optional subscription that adds double credits, the Pro lane on the Tour and Pro-only gear.

How much is Sessions Pro, and is there a free trial?

$4.99 a month or $29.99 a year. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.

How do I cancel Sessions Pro?

On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Snowboard Sessions. Apple handles all billing and refunds.

How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?

Open the Pro Shop, go to Credits and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple Account that bought the Pass, Pro or Starter Pack.

Are the mountains real?

The terrain is. Each mountain is generated from the Copernicus DEM, a 30-metre satellite elevation model, so the ridges, bowls and couloirs are where they are on the real mountain. Trees, kickers and rails are placed by the game.

How do the controls work?

Drag your left thumb to carve, push up to tuck and pull down to brake. Hold your right thumb to crouch and let go to jump. In the air the left thumb spins and flips and a held right thumb grabs. With a full style meter, double-tap the right thumb for your signature trick.

Are there ads?

Rewarded videos are always optional and only pay out when watched to the end. Players who have not bought anything may see a short ad between runs, never during one — at most once every three runs. The Pass and Pro remove ads entirely.
